The people behind the radiology report:
How the Atlas Imagistica team is organized
40+ radiologists, IT specialists, helpdesk, and operations — a complete team built to deliver clinical excellence 24/7
A radiology report is the result of a team
Behind every Atlas Imagistica radiology report stands an entire organization: an allocation system that assigns the study to the most suitable radiologist, an IT team that ensures the platform remains operational, a helpdesk that responds in real time to any inquiry, and an operational team that guarantees each step runs smoothly.
At Atlas Imagistica, we believe that the value of a teleradiology service is directly reflected in the quality of the team supporting it. This includes not only radiologists, but all individuals involved in delivering imaging results, ensuring their accurate and timely transmission to the partner clinic and ultimately to the patient.

Medical team: 40+ radiologists
The core of Atlas Imagistica is the medical team, consisting of over 40 radiologists covering the entire spectrum of diagnostic imaging. Alongside general radiologists with extensive experience in CT, MRI, X-ray, and ultrasound, the team includes specialists with subspecializations in areas such as cardiac, vascular, and ENT imaging — fields where diagnostic interpretation may exceed general radiology competencies depending on case complexity.
Team collaboration is essential in the daily workflow. Complex cases or those raising diagnostic uncertainty are discussed in real time, providing direct access to colleagues’ expertise. No radiologist is alone when facing a difficult case. The organizational culture we have built encourages a professional environment where dialogue and internal consultation are natural and actively supported as part of responsibility toward the patient.
We invest in people and technology so our radiologists can focus on what truly matters — imaging interpretation.
Dr. Sorin Roșca — Medical Director and Founder
Dr. Sorin Roșca is the founder and Medical Director of Atlas Imagistica, a senior physician in Radiology and Medical Imaging with over 20 years of clinical experience and expertise in CT and MRI. He developed the organization based on a simple principle: the quality of the medical report must remain consistent, regardless of the time of day, clinic location, or availability of a local specialist.
Together with Dr. Roșca, the Atlas Imagistica management team coordinates all organizational departments (medical, technical, operational, and commercial), ensuring strategic coherence and maintaining quality standards across the entire teleradiology platform.
Imaging subspecialization: Cardiac, Vascular, ENT, MSK
Atlas Imagistica has a team of over 40 radiologists, some of whom hold subspecializations in high-demand areas with limited coverage in Romania, such as:
- Cardiac imaging (cardiac CT and MRI, cardiac function assessment, calcium scoring)
- Vascular imaging (aortic and peripheral CTA, aneurysm evaluation, interventional planning)
- ENT imaging (CT and MRI for sinus pathology, cervical spaces, inner ear)
- Musculoskeletal imaging (extremity MRI, spinal pathology)
Why radiologists choose Atlas Imagistica

For radiologists evaluating collaboration opportunities, Atlas Imagistica provides a work environment deliberately designed to support a high-quality professional experience. Beyond the financial component — characterized by a transparent model and prompt payments — there are several advantages enabled by a high-quality teleradiology system.
Advantages for partner radiologists
- High flexibility — self-managed schedule, remote work and/or on-site activity in Târgu Mureș, adaptable to lifestyle and personal needs
- State-of-the-art technology — Syngo.via, Syngo.Carbon, GE AW Server, SwiftMR, AI
- Optimized workflow — automated allocation, case timers, emergency prioritization
- 24/7 technical support from the IT department
- Medical team collaboration and support — teamwork and active internal consultation
- Investment in professional development — sponsored congresses and courses
- Opportunities for involvement in new roles — strategy, education, training, and business development
Atlas Imagistica is currently developing a structured professional development support program, along with a dedicated knowledge base for radiologists. Our approach is proactive: each radiologist completes a professional interest profile, allowing resources and training opportunities to be personalized according to specialization and preferences.
Based on this, a standard budget allocation is planned for participation in professional events, supporting continuous development of the medical team. This represents a constant component of the partnership between Atlas Imagistica and its collaborating radiologists.
In parallel, we are building a structured collection of educational resources designed to facilitate imaging interpretation and support daily clinical activity. We believe that a radiologist who consistently invests in professional development delivers higher-quality reports and becomes a more valuable partner for clinics relying on their expertise.
Technical team: IT, Support, and Development
Alongside the medical team, Atlas Imagistica operates a technical IT team structured into two main components.
The IT support component ensures uninterrupted operation of all software platforms used by radiologists and partners. Support is available 24/7 — if a radiologist encounters a technical issue at 3 a.m., an IT specialist responds immediately. All software systems we operate include extended support contracts with vendors, complemented by our internal team support.
The development component includes a dedicated specialist working on in-house products and integration of new technological solutions into the existing workflow. We are not solely dependent on external vendors for the evolution of our platform. We have the capability to develop, test, and implement customized solutions tailored to the specific needs of the Romanian teleradiology market, and especially to the clinics and hospitals we collaborate with.
Operational team: efficiency and standardization
The operational team at Atlas Imagistica is responsible for optimizing and standardizing internal processes by documenting workflows, monitoring SLA compliance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing appropriate solutions. This structure ensures the efficient and consistent functioning of all organizational processes.
Helpdesk: continuous support for partners
The helpdesk team represents the permanent point of contact for partner clinics and hospitals. It can be accessed directly via phone, chat, or video for technical support, report clarifications, or urgent requests.
Accessibility and continuous communication are deliberate organizational choices and constant priorities. We believe that a strong teleradiology partnership requires direct and rapid communication, especially given that imaging reports are an integral part of the complex patient management process.
Marketing & Commercial team and Financial team
The commercial team is responsible for identifying and developing relationships with potential partners, presenting services, facilitating integration for new clinics, and continuously monitoring feedback and optimization suggestions from partner clinics and hospitals. Our approach focuses on building long-term partnerships based on trust and proven clinical value.
The financial team manages radiologist payments, partner invoicing, and internal financial reporting. Prompt payment is a key priority for our organization.
